About the HeatGuard Pro
Turn the grill you already own into a wood-fired pizza oven.
The HeatGuard Pro sits right on your grill grates and traps the heat rising off your burners, so the cordierite stone bakes the crust crisp underneath while the domed top melts and chars the toppings above — that wood-fired taste, without buying a standalone oven.

Frequently asked questions
Will the HeatGuard Pro fit my grill?
Measure your grill's cooking area: the oven needs an 18″-wide grate and about 5.5″ of clearance. It fits most 3-burner and larger gas grills, and full-size charcoal grills including Weber, Traeger, and Big Green Egg models.
Does it work on gas, charcoal, or pellet grills?
It's designed for gas and charcoal grills. Many customers also use it on pellet grills — one reviewer runs it on a Traeger with great results.
How hot does my grill need to get?
Aim for 450–500°F inside the oven — the built-in thermometer shows you when it's ready. On a gas grill, set the burners to high; on charcoal, use a full bed of hot coals.
How long does a pizza take?
Preheat the oven for 10–15 minutes, then bake each pizza for 5–7 minutes, rotating it halfway through for an even crust.
What size pizza can I make?
The 16″ model bakes pizzas up to about 14″ on its 15″ cordierite stone. The 18″ model gives you extra room for larger pies.
Do I need to assemble anything?
No. Take it out of the box, set it on your grill grates, and start preheating.
How do I clean the pizza stone?
Let the stone cool completely, then brush it off with a dry brush — never use soap or soak it in water. See our full guide: Cleaning Your Pizza Stone.
What if it doesn't work out?
